It seems like this is geared mostly towards Black people however you have to look at the reasons why people choose to be exclusive. There is a history of Black people being excluded or made to feel out of place from places of worship, and just about any other institution or group setting. Chattel slavery is what existed in the Americas/West, it was not that kind of slavery in Africa. I think people should not judge based on a persons color and anyone can practice a religion. However I wouldn't want to join an ile where I am looked down upon because I am of majority African ascent. Its strange how people can practice an African tradition but then look down on Black people.

I am of Irish descent. In history, the Irish was brought over to the Americas as indentured servants and housed with the slaves. The African black slaves taught the Irish about their religious beliefs and practices. Also, miscegenation of the Irish and Africans also took place during this time. So, NOBODY should keep ANYONE from what beliefs they are pulled towards. You never know what lineage a person stems from by the color of their skin. Thank you for stepping in and encouraging me to follow my feelings.
